DIRECT SUPPORT
The Direct Support Associate exists to teach, coach, and support individuals with disabilities so that they have opportunities for personal growth, and are valued members of their communities. Support activities may include assisting individuals to meet new people and develop friendships; find and maintain employment; exercise choices and acquire competencies to maintain activities of daily living; and achieve personal goals. This position is the primary support for the individuals in service, so exceptional interpersonal skills are a must. A high school diploma/equivalent or higher is required.
Requirements:
- *Must Possess a Valid Driver’s License with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
- At least 18 years of age
- Basic computer skills with the ability to utilize internal software programs
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Successful completion of the Pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and State criminal background or FBI Background checks
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred
- Pre-Employment Physical & Tuberculosis test required
